Organic Farming

2017 - Now retired from farming but still passionate about organics. Currently concentrating on the vegetable garden. Growing, cooking and eating good food is one of the joys of life!

Organic Farming is without doubt one of the best things we could do to minimise the horrendous impact we are having on the planet.

This is my video diary of life on the farm.

I will post notification of new videos on facebook and twitter. If you click 'like' on those sites, that should ensure you receive these notifications. You can also subscribe to my youtube account and find out about new videos that way.

15 November - Here is the latest video. Using the Ferguson potato spinner. If you enjoy it please feel free to pass on the link.

October 27th

In this video I show off my new hippy jumper, but more importantly I try to explain the important role of organic farming and gardening and its relevance to the health of our planet. It's a bit longer than my other videos - I hope you have the time to stick with it - I think this is an important subject.

May 13 - Here is a video of lambing this year. I mistakenly thought that a lamb was correctly presented for birth, only to find out she had actually got one leg back.

May 7 - Here is the part two of the potato planting operation. Hopefully the next instalment will be a successful harvest.

March 23 - In this video I begin a discussion on the joys of simple technology. Of course, the irony of recording this discussion on my iphone, uploading it onto youtube, and then onto my website, does not pass me by.

11 February - Here is the latest video in the Diary of a Dartmoor Farm series. Hope you enjoy it.

3 February. Here is part one of an occasional series about the soil. The soil is the source of our wealth and physical well-being - we should respect it.

Excellent bloopers. Didn't overshadow the main attraction though. The David Brown 1490.

The David Brown 1490 coldstart is a bit of a box office hit...wonderful cinematography....

Old, ugly, inefficient and an environmental hazard, and (you'll like this bit) the tractor ain't much better.
